Question: In addition to compliance requirements, why does accenture focus on data reporting when working with clients on sustainability?
In this blog post, I will explain why Accenture focuses on data reporting when working with clients on sustainability. Data reporting is not only a compliance requirement, but also a strategic tool to measure, manage and communicate the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and impact of an organization.
Data reporting helps Accenture and its clients to:
- Align their sustainability goals with global standards and frameworks, such as the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), the World Economic Forum International Business Council (WEF IBC) metrics, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Track and evaluate their progress and performance across six vital dimensions of value: Client, Talent, Inclusion & Diversity, Experience, Sustainability and Financial.
- Identify and address ESG risks and opportunities, and drive innovation and transformation through technology and human ingenuity.
- Build trust and transparency with their stakeholders, including investors, customers, employees, partners and communities.
Accenture's 360° Value Reporting Experience is a comprehensive, detailed view of how we deliver 360° value to all our stakeholders, in every part of the world. It showcases our goals, actions and achievements in sustainability and other ESG areas during fiscal 2022.
