Saliva play important role in our digestive system because saliva contain lots of enzyme in it and enzymes break our food into small particles such as lipase ,amylase , amylase breakdown starch into the sugar molecules. Saliva also help in moistening the food particles and convert into the bolus form which is easy to swallow. Saliva begins the digestion from the mouth by the carbohydrate breakdown.
