Although the many advocacy groups of the 1960s led different types of protests, most used non violent resistance for the protest. Their idea was that if we use  violence in our protests it could be easy to neglect us for the goverment body by saying that we are damaging the national property in the personal interest and in this way, we can lose the public support.
