Sulekha was called Bholi the Simpleton by all because Bholi had fallen from her cot when she was 10 months old, due to which a part of her brain was severely damaged. Sulekha is Ramlal's youngest daughter. When Sulekha was 2 years old, she was affected by smallpox, so that her fair and beautiful Surrey was completely deformed from the teacher. That's why everyone considered Sulekha to be an extraordinary and backward child, so everyone used to call her by mistake.
