Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is known as the father of the Indian Constitution is that he was the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constituent Assembly and was responsible for the drafting of the Constitution of India. He was also the first Law Minister of India after the adoption of the Constitution in 1950. He was known as the "architect of the Indian Constitution" as he had a major role to play in the formation and making of the Constitution. He had worked on the Constitution for two years, from 1947 to 1949, and was the driving force behind the completion of the task.
