Question: Why is texas governor abbott in a wheelchair?
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has used a wheelchair since 1984, when he was paralyzed due to an accident. He was 26 at the time, and was struck by a falling tree while jogging. Since then, he has used a wheelchair to get around and perform his duties as an elected official. Including serving as the Texas Attorney General, Lieutenant Governor, and now Governor. Abbott is an active and visible advocate for people with disabilities, promoting the rights and abilities of those with disabilities to lead full and productive lives.
