Question: With whom did sir edmund hillary reach the summit of mount everest?
Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay both reached the summit of Mount Everest on May 29th, 1953. Hillary and Norgay, who were members of a British expedition team, trained for months and prepared the best they could for their expedition up Everest. During their ascent, the climbers encountered deep snow, extreme winds, and intense cold. On the morning of May 29th they started the final climb to the peak in the early hours of the day and managed to reach the summit of the mountain at 11:30am local time. This achievement made the two climbers the first people in the history of the world to ever reach the summit of the highest point on Earth. They spent approximately 15 minutes on the summit and took photographs before beginning their descent from the mountain. Upon their return, the two mountaineers were heralded as heroes and feted by their countries as symbols of courage and strength.
