Question: This is what we call the graduates of the cwts and lts components, the members of this corps may be tapped by the state for literacy and civic welfare activities through the joint effort of the dnd, ched, and tesda.
One of the outcomes of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) is the formation of the National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC). This is what we call the graduates of the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) and Literacy Training Service (LTS) components, who have completed at least 54 hours of community service. The members of this corps may be tapped by the state for literacy and civic welfare activities through the joint effort of the Department of National Defense (DND), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
In this blog post, we will discuss the benefits and challenges of being part of the NSRC, as well as some tips on how to prepare for possible deployment. We will also share some stories and testimonials from NSRC members who have participated in various projects and programs in different communities.
